Another 2 inches of snow fell last night making the 48 hour total 4 inches and the 7 day total a whopping 43 inches! An unbelievable 206 inches of snow has already coated the mountain this year and even more snow is expected to fall throughout this Thursday, the 29th of January, while temperatures will reach the upper teens. Starting Friday, the Colorado sun will shine brightly, raising the temperatures to the mid 20’s.
Thanks to all the glorious snow that has come down this year, 100% of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain is open, as well as 93% of the amazing Extreme terrain. 15 chair lifts are running, leading you to 1191 skiable acres, 481 of which have been groomed to perfection. Remember, Teocalli Lift will be closed until Friday, but will reopen for the weekend.
Forecasters are expecting 1 to 2 feet of snow in Crested Butte from a storm this weekend.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning through 6 a.m. Monday for the northwest Colorado mountains.
