The Mountain

Mt. Crested Butte and the surrounding area is the perfect place to indulge your fun spirit!

Did you know that Mt. Crested Butte and the surrounding area have over 500 miles of mountain and dirt biking terrain, as well as hundreds of hiking trails and backcountry passes for four wheeling? In addition, the valley is home to numerous rivers and creeks, both for whitewater enthusiasts and fishing during several months out of the year. Probably the reason we're "Colorado's best" - not only are we a haven for our numerous winter activities, but over the years our popularity has grown for our year-round outdoor recreation.

Playing here has become a prerequisite, and Crested Butte is surrounded by National Forest, National Parks, and BLM land natural beauty, abound.

If you're in for a bit more of an adventure, you can trek over to Aspen in a half day's walk over some of the most gorgeous terrain Colorado has to offer.
