Montrose Regional Airport (Alternate Gateway) Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is another great option that offers additional non-stop jet service to the area on United Airlines, Continental Airlines, and Delta Airlines. United Express offers up to six connections per day via Denver to Montrose. Montrose is an easy one and a half hour scenic ground transfer to Crested Butte. Airport Transfers Alpine Express meets each scheduled flight at the airpoirt and provides shuttle service to Gunnison and Crested Butte. It has a fleet of 30 vehicles, from 10-passenger vans to 45-passenger coaches. Short Scenic Ride, Baggage Handling, Luxury Limousine Service are all available. From Hwy 50 in Gunnison turn onto Hwy 135 to Crested Butte. Continue on Hwy 135 through the town of Crested Butte and head up the hill (3 miles) to Mt. Crested Butte. After the main Mt. Crested Butte sign, take your third right onto Hunter Hill Road. Hunter Hill bears to the right at the T-bar and chair lift. Just past the West Wall Lodge you will see our driveway on your left. Head up the driveway, the office is in the Jokerville Building, up the stairs. |

Mountain Express, there's no need for a car. The shuttles run the three miles between Mt. Crested Butte and the historic town from many convenient locations, and they're free. |
